The name ‘Elora’ derives from the words ‘sun ray’ and ‘light.’
We chose this name because we believe that with each sunrise, we have the opportunity to communicate and connect with those around us.

Meet Our Owner
Emalyn Deak, MPH, CPH, CHES
For Emalyn, communication is the necessary foundation for any relationship. Her love for languages, human connection, and communication were the driving forces behind opening Elora.
She combines her knowledge acquired from her dual Bachelor of Arts in English and Spanish, as well as her Master of Public Health to bring her dream of connecting people through communication to life.
During her studies at the University of Florida and the University of South Florida, respectively, she had opportunities that allowed her to develop her communication skills in both English and Spanish. In addition, Emalyn is Certified in Public Health (CPH) and a Certified Health Education Specialist (CHES).
Emalyn has had the opportunity to live, work, and study in Colombia, Spain, and Ecuador. During her time abroad, she learned the importance of tailoring communication content that is linguistically and culturally relevant to the intended audience.
In her free time, you can find Emalyn exploring the great outdoors, spending time with friends and family, and practicing her language skills.
